Description
The 8cm Raketenwerfer auf Fahrgestell S 303 (f) was a German multiple rocket launcher used during World War II. It was a modified French SOMUA MCL artillery tractor that was armored and equipped with rocket launchers. The launcher was based on the Soviet BM-8 Katyusha system, but adapted to German needs. The rockets were 78 mm in caliber and were stabilized by fins, which improved accuracy. The system was used primarily by Waffen-SS units.
