Description
The Leichter Schützenpanzerwagen P-107 U-304(f) is a light armoured half-track vehicle used by the German Wehrmacht during World War II. The vehicle was originally a French Unic P107 that was captured and modified by the Germans after the occupation of France.
Origin and development
- Unic P107 : French half-track vehicle developed in the 1930s by Citroën and later produced by Unic. It was mainly used as an artillery tractor and troop carrier.
- Technical data : Powered by a 3.4-litre, 4-cylinder engine producing 62 hp, the P107 was 4.85 m long and 1.8 m wide.
Use by the Germans
- Modifications : After the occupation of France, many of these vehicles were taken over by the Wehrmacht and designated as 37 U304(f) light artillery tractors .
- Use : These vehicles were used for a variety of tasks, including transporting troops and towing anti-tank guns.
